Coarse Geometry

The course provides a new conceptual view on the basic constructions in the field, e.g. on the process of coarsification. As a background literature one could look at: J.Roe: Index theory, coarse geometry, and the topology of manifolds. A. Schmidt: Coarse geometry via Grothendieck topologies Math. Nachr. 1999, Vol 203 159--173. P. D. Mitchener: The general notion of descent in coarse geometry. Alg. and Geom. Topology, 2010, Vol. 10. 2419-2450. We assume some experience with infinity categories and and sheaf theory. For example the participant shouldn't be afraid of a sheaf of spectra on a Grothendieck site.
