This will be a continuation of Algebraic Topology II (SoSe16). 

The following is a preliminary list of topics to be covered in the course: 

- Topology of manifolds. Basic differential topology.
- Homology and cohomology of manifolds. Poincare duality.
- Cobordism theory. Thom spectra. 
- Characteristic classes and applications.
